I understand the heroism and the love of people but I still do not understand the culture of hate that breeds such violent animosity towards strangers and people who would do no harm to others.
This was hard to watch and beautiful to watch.I'm planning on sharing videos like this with my kids this weekend...its our job to pass the red bandana along and let it never be forgotten.Love and Peace.
it's hard to comment, it takes everything out of me. still i watch everything, to remember and honor. my son is my best friend too. i'm glad you shared this kj. it was beautiful.
muhammad, the video is about bravery and the love of family. it made me cry. i hope you will like it.
mim, same here, mim. i can feel the tears well up at the slightest mention. the feelings are fresh, not a decade old. i think that will always be so.
mark, i know, i agree, i will never understand. i will never ever understand. ♥
suki, the tears have to come. i keep thinking of his parents. i'm glad they learned of his heroism, his final moments. that has to give comfort. and pride.
cat, that red bandana is a good symbol, cat. 8 of my daughter's co workers died. i wonder how she will look at that loss this weekend. xoxo
lori, the tears just come and i too choke up when i hear and watch. i agree with mim that it's going to be a teary weekend. but that's okay. it means we remember and in remembering we honor. 9-11 has helped me understand the ravages of wars and violence all over the world. my tears are for my fellow americans certainly, but for all over the world too.
I am always afraid to cick on anything to read or see anything involving 9/11. Saw this video together with Felix. I am in tears now...... 9/11 is close. 10 years ago and still is it as emotional to me as 10 years ago.....
wow. thank you for sharing this video kj - it was hard not to cry while viewing it. i never had heard this story before, and I'm so happy i learned about the heroic efforts of this young man.
Thank god there are people that think and act like Welles. As long as there are people like him left in this world there is hope for the whole world. Get your Welles on!

Oh marianne, how could you not have your own all-too-real feelings about what happened in those planes, and after?
