It is with great sorrow that I acknowledge the sudden death of Bella Sinclair's beloved husband. In a few days, Bella and her two daughters will be leaving Japan and returning to the United State as planned. Her blog friends and visitors have closely followed the preparation for this trip home, and it is almost beyond belief they will arrive with a loss beyond anything that words could describe. "We are survivors," Bella says on her blog. Indeed. She is an inspiration to anyone who knows and follows her. Her illustrations are always a joy. She is the first to laugh--her irrepressible wit always nearby--and she is the first to offer a heartfelt comment. If you wish to offer condolences, you can do so at http://bellasinclair.blogspot.com.

Bella, my heart bleeds for you and your girls tonight. But I know you will be okay. I know that for sure.
.
You are loved.

oh renee....
ReplyDeleteThanks kj just left a message on her post but I'm betting she'll be offline for a while. What a fuck of a thing! Jesus . .it's never easy is it? Just as they're planning to come home. Brought a tone of memories back for me too I'll tell you. If there is a God he/she's got a bloody lot to answer for! Poor thing, my heart goes out to her in ways' she'll never know.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for letting us know xox
ReplyDeleteMy prayers have been sent even though I can't begin to know what she's going through.
ReplyDeleteI think we need to say I love you every single day. In one instant your life can change.
Jesus, it's just wrong.
love you Kj.
This was a beautiful post for a sweet friend. The graphic made we weep.

lo
I am a man. Nothing more than that. So it is reasonable for me to wonder at other mens capacity to blame and curse God for the death that surrounds us Baino.
ReplyDeleteThat mankind has not thought this out and in their grief and rage misplace responsibility saddens me more than the passing to sleep in the house of ones ancestors of a beloved person.
oh how awful...just terrible.
ReplyDeletewalking man, i have to call you on this abit. this kind of loss is so unfathomable and intolerable that it's often people of faith who must question the most and the hardest. my baino knows what she's talking about...

ReplyDeleteAnd I am mad, really mad.
Love Renee xoxo
thank you for informing us here kj.
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad and heavy too.
I am wordless, such a good husband and partner of bella don't deserve such a sudden departure.
Sometimes, I also ask God why all the good people got to pass away so early.....so like my parents, uncle.....recalling my sorroe!
It's such a beautiful tribute to bella. KJ, your words are very healing and thoughtful!
This is what Bella needs:)
Thank you kj you are a generous soul and your partner is a very lucky woman indeed.

KJ...*shrug* Mankind has always had a need to direct responsibility. When a person dies whether it be suddenly or after a long lingering illness is it God, that is the bringer of that death? Or is it a drunk in a car, a medical problem, a fool with a gun robbing someone, a war, or , or or, or... If it is God, then I say them of the greatest faith should absolutely move furthermost away from all commune with that spirit which created all we know.
ReplyDeleteGod authored life. And if you apply Christian theological thinking God authored the defeat of death through the resurrection of the man, Jesus, The Christ in order that we may live eternally.
Them of the greatest faith know of the constant strain between life and death in this mortal world, it is them of the least faith that will have a need to blame God. God has nothing to answer for and no one to answer to.
That said, the first e-mail I got this morning was from my young poet friend who's mother died last night from breast cancer. So again I repeat the caution...Women a mammogram may hurt but it is necessary, Get yours scheduled today if you have not had one in the past year.
So many events this year to remind us that life and death turn on a dime.
ReplyDeleteOh how sad. I hope she's doing okay. What a good friend you are! Lots of love and warmth are being sent Bella's way ...
ReplyDeleteMy deepest sympathies to Bella and her family and friends.
ReplyDeleteI am stunned and saddened by this news. I left her a message. You are a dear person and Thank you for your post. Love to you and I will call soon.
