The Visiting Poet

Her name is Human Being and she lives in Iran. She is a poet and a woman I am proud to call my friend and recently and suddenly her blog has closed. So it is my privilege to post her latest poem, perhaps the first of a guest series where she may visit and enjoy your comments.
.
Love you, Human Being...

a place to hide

everything escapes (from)
me even my
words -- all my
world

they are not afraid of
me but the gun
followingmefollowingmefollowingme

no wind to ride on
so hide
so hide
so hide

i hide in the clouds
but they keep on

i hide behind the moon
but it keeps on
waxing or waning

so i hide
in the sun
as i know
it never turns me in

  6. I had no idea she was in Iran. Did she close her blog voluntarily or is that my middle eastern paranoia kicking in? I visit occasionally but haven't commented, perhaps I should. Lovely sad poem. @HB glad you reopened! (haha capture was hunge -kind of a huge honey hug!)

  9. Your poem reminds me of a favorite line from my beloved Gibran "she kept her eyes to the sun so she wouldn't see her shadow among the roses and the thorns."

I love you both, dear HB and KJ.
