Her name is Human Being and she lives in Iran. She is a poet and a woman I am proud to call my friend and recently and suddenly her blog has closed. So it is my privilege to post her latest poem, perhaps the first of a guest series where she may visit and enjoy your comments.

Love you, Human Being...
.
a place to hide

everything escapes (from)
me even my
words -- all my
world
they are not afraid of
me but the gun
followingmefollowingmefollowingme
no wind to ride on
so hide
so hide
so hide
i hide in the clouds
but they keep on

hb, then may the sun find its firm and steady place in your sky until the moon and stars and planets can hold their own....

Karen...
ReplyDeleteyou are a rare gem!
i just want to hug you tight!
friends like you teach a lot through their love...
i found you and many other true friends i have now through blogging...
during this hiding time i thought a lot...
your and other friends' help and support really taught me new things...
i open up my blog to celebrate what i have learned...
love you a lot!
oh... Karen i feel i'm so powerful now!
:D
hey dearest KJ...
ReplyDeletei'm back... i mean on my blog... i put this work there too...
i'm so happy and i owe this to you... if you were not with me during this time, perhaps i couldn't learn... to see differently...
i also owe a lot to the walking man...
and some other friends and their beautiful words...
lots of love to you all...
hugs and kisses my dearest friend
This poem just kinda gives me shivers.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Thanks for posting this KJ. I love Human Being! And look, you've inspired her to come back. I'll go visit her now.

I had no idea she was in Iran. Did she close her blog voluntarily or is that my middle eastern paranoia kicking in? I visit occasionally but haven't commented, perhaps I should. Lovely sad poem. @HB glad you reopened! (haha capture was hunge -kind of a huge honey hug!)
ReplyDeleteyay! she's back!
ReplyDeleteif you've come to visit me, click on human being's comment and vist her too. she is awesome!
and she's my friend and i love her.
Well done kiddo, nothing like hiding in the brilliance of the light.
ReplyDeleteYour poem reminds me of a favorite line from my beloved Gibran "she kept her eyes to the sun so she wouldn't see her shadow among the roses and the thorns."
ReplyDeleteI love you both, dear HB and KJ.
thanks dearest friends for giving me wings to fly...
ReplyDeleteDeb...
that line from Gibran is awesome...
love to you all
KJ... you are unforgettable!
