Show Up
And Go
From There

I have no map. I haven't been here before. I'm lost half the time.
Fear slows me down. The weather's unpredictable.
.
And yet.
If I don't believe in myself,
And I don't have faith,
And I don't trust fate,
How will I get
From here
to
there?
.
Because
From here
to
there
is
exactly
where
I'm headed
.
And
where
I'm headed
is exactly
where
I'm supposed
to be.

  10. wow! KJ... your poem is so powerful... so beautiful...

that feeling of being lost... even the form resmebles a tornado... we are spinning round and round... do not know where to go... just a feeling of being ruined...

but being ruined doesn't mean the end... it means a new beginning...
surely this transitional phase is so painful like when a child is born...

'Show Up And Go From There'

    you know what to do...
    you are powerful...

    namaste!

your six-word is one of the best ever... why don't you put your link on Cate's blog so that more friends can read...

  11. I love what you say. Right, we always think there is or should be a map and plan to our lives. But those such things are superimpositions of an orderly and controlling mind rather than actual experience. Really none of us have a map. And unless you believe in reincarnation, none of us have been here before. I too feel lost half the time. Great to read this.

alternative: well E. bunny, i could follow the map of yr footsteps and then i'd find the finest carrots for sure. right?

  19. Being lost has led me to some of the best things ever. A few of those things I know were little things left there for me to find at just that moment-and because of that, I know I am on the right path, just unsure of where it will lead.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Haha you sound as confused as I am . .no idea where I'm supposed to be or what I'm doing . . .I guess the destination isn't important, it's the journey that counts.

  26. Hi KJ, lovely to hear from you. Hope my messages are getting through to you. If the others have not reached you. Hannah my daughter loved your book. She only took a couple of days hooked on it and said she really felt for the children in the end and it held some funny times also. Sorry I haven't read it myself yet.
Thank you so much for your lovely message on my blog. Let me know if you get this message. I am a little worried your not receiving them and wouldn't wish you to feel I am neglecting you as you are such a lovely lady.

    Sending you a BIG SMILE:)

Tomorrow is Josephine's 2nd birthday so they are having her party today in my back yard. But it looks like it might rain.

  35. I love this kj. I haven't had a map for years either but I'm starting to chart one now and it's much more interesting than what I'd ever imagined it would be.

I'm glad you liked that beach photo. I can't tell you how beautiful it is there. The surf was so big that the sound of the waves drowned out everything else and the sun was warm enough on my back for me to just wear a singlet top and shorts. It's only a two hour flight from Melbourne (where I live) and it's very wintery here at the moment so it was gorgeous to have some sunshine.
