Untitled Though Mish-Mash Like

1. # 9's chipmunks harmful to patio and house foundation and humans unsure what to do
2. what four words for you?
3. taken by mr. ryan age 5 inside the little train tunnel
4. drew in the yard
5. look park

I am changing my ways. I am not going to think so much, and and I going to sometimes think first before my emotions take me downstream. A few days ago I had reason to list where my time is going and I was surprised to hear that about 75% of my time is spent on things I really like or love. Writing. Blogging. Gardening. Clients. Family. Friends. Provincetown. Oceans. Farms. Pilates. Idol & Dancing with the Stars. Even sometimes cooking. And Baking.

I have questions. Uncertainties. Fears. And alas (some, i wish not) Regrets. But somehow someway lately I seem to know who and what's most important to me and I'm mostly sticking with that. This includes the care and comfort of myself. Not to say I'll stop dreaming and chasing. Not to say I've closed any doors. Not to say I fail to understand how precious and once-in-a-lifetime the present is. Not tot say I have it together. Not to say I don't still look back.

i love my blog. All of it makes me happy. Your sharing and comments are my version of Hersey's chocolate kisses. Thank you most sincerely.

Love
kj

  1. The first four words I saw were actually only three:
Prey = must mean your chipmunks
peace = hmmm maybe NOT the chipmunks
passionate = okay, definitely not the chipmunks!

As for the rest of your post: "I am changing my ways"
I don't think so. I think those are things you've been all along for the most part. Maybe you've just now accepted them?????
And omigosh,,,it's possible to have it together? I didn't know that. I'm looking forward to it here, woo-hoo!

  3. Each of us has to take stock from time to time, as a process of sorting out where we are, and what we want to do next. I'm glad you have done that, and found so many things you like; things you are doing already.

I'm back at work, something I had not expected to be. But this is good, and makes me consider exactly who I am, what I want to be, and what I want to do.

As part of the process, we have been making some minor changes to the furniture of our place. Only a couple of things, really, but the place seems so much more like home. For example, while I very much like my father's desk, it is way too small for me to work effectively. So it has been assigned a new and different task, and I have a new, larger, desk. Which I am quite enjoying. My beloved has a new china cabinet, which is very useful, and pulls the furniture together, so to speak.

Blessings and Bear hugs on your adventures!

    1. Good to hear all this, bear. Enjoy that desk and china cabinet: it's more than just furniture.

I imagine you to be such a gentle caring pastor . Xoxo

  4. Kj I love the fact that you compared comments to Hershey kisses :-)
I also find it awesome that you can account for 75% of your time being in pursuit of things you love...on a good werk for me it is maybe 36% but that is better than it was by a large margin :-)
I also can attribute a good portion of that to my blog as well!

  5. Hahaha, I tried your four words: pray (no way) naive (no way) outspoken (true) dramatic (when necessary)
Oh dear, oh dear, ooooooh, dear.
The Hershey chocolate is very old. Last week I was watching a documentary on television about WW II. The Americans who came to Europe to fight against the Germans brought chocolate with them. In poor Holland after the winter full of hunger.... it was heavenly to get some chocolate. Old people are still talking nowadays about Hershey bars.

  6. Ack! My first word was DEPENDENT. Not sure how I feel about that. I'll ask someone (hahaha). I also saw loyal (yes), charming (uh, not so much) and eloquent (not even sure how to spell that, much less BE it). Okay, I'm off to work on my dependency issues. And eat some Hershey's kisses! I"m with you on trying not to think so much. With my writing, too. xox!

    My words:

    1. Loyal
    2. Charismatic
    3. Passionate
    4. Outspoken

Hmmmmmmm.....does that sound like anyone you KNOW??? :-D
You KNOW what I told you to put down that chipmunk hole. Short of dynamite, and I don't even think that would kill them. Little buggers.
Life and regrets. Well, here's the thing; when you're faced with fighting for life, the regrets WALK. Suddenly, you just love and cherish every moment you have. It's an amazing cleansing.....

    XXOO~~
Anne.....waiting for a bog of Hersheys Kisses, now that you mentioned them....

    1. Make that *BAG*......I can't spell.....although a whole BOG full of chocolate would be equally GOOD, I'm thinking!

    2. Anne xo, yes that sounds exactly like someone I know xo

The regrets WALK. I love that. I deeply totally and over the moon hope you will have many many moments to love and cherish, and I will be grateful to share some of them with you

  8. Four Words:
    Peaceful (?)
    Witty (at times)
    Passionate (yes, definitely)
    Dramatic ('' '')

Can't help with those Chipmunks...but hope you will try for a non-lethal remedy!

As we get older...(unpleasant - but a reality) I think it becomes vital that we DO look after ourselves....if we are not content inwardly, how can we be a good friend, partner, parent to others?
I hope this new-found "calmness" stays with you....I know I have occasional moments when I feel strong, happy and yes....secure (peaceful?)these days...it's a wonderful feeling.

This is a dark chocolate Hershey Kiss comment!!!

    Love, Love,

    ♥ Robin ♥

p.s. Keep us posted on the doggie-update!!!!

  10. Oh. First FOUR words. Peace. Passionate sweet love peace. Now it sounds like one of those videos you get from the "back room".

    ReplyDelete
  11. Okay. I have a very short attention span and must comment as I go... No regrets; turn them into lessons learned. There's that "once in a lifetime, live every moment" thing again. This is not our perfect life. This is our human experience. What is required is to be present. To feel it all. I think you do a good job at that. **kisskiss** Deb

    1. Well deb, if it were a back room video, it would probably be piece not peace :-)

I so agree about being present. Where else us there? We can look back or ahead but we are only here. Now.thank you for saying I do a good job of it: I do try. As do you

How to find out how you're spending your time? Well.....what do you DO?! I was surprised when I looked at my last few weeks. The chores are there and so are the worries but I'm changing how they effect everything else!

  13. kj,
That was an interesting word square.
    I saw:
    Loyal (yes)
    Talented (yes, teaching young children)
Outgoing (only really when teaching young children)
    Outspoken (yes)
I was surprised to see actual words.

Good for you to do what you enjoy and love 75% of the time.

Do you have a lot of chipmunks in the area? This is just a wild guess, but I wonder if there is something you can put around as a deterrent, not poison, just something that would make them stay away.

I enjoyed visiting again. I was feeling abit down in the dumps and worried, as I'm starting a new job which I'm not sure I can do this week, and so thought I'd visit here and enjoy, and feel grounded.

  16. Patient, gentle, witty, generous. Yep that shit fits me to a T. why only 75%...shoot for 99%. I am at 100% because I don't do anything.

  17. kj,
Thanks for stopping by over at my blog, to offer your supportive words. I actually decided to not take the job, and continue looking for something more suitable.
It was a job, working in a nursing home doing housekeeping and laundry, and I think I could well have enjoyed it, but I had worries because my arm seems to have developed some arthritis, and as well, the job was on call, variable shifts. If I was abit younger I think I would have loved it. So, I'm going to keep looking for work in my preferred work, of early childhood education, which I love.
I lost my job in March, just before catching a serious GI bug, and landing in the hospital, and so am just now getting back to the job search.
Thanks again for your kind words.
Sorry if this is too much infor. :)

  18. What a sweet, thoughtful post! Sometimes the mish-mash is how you get to the best stuff. And spending 75% of your time on the things you love... what a blessing that is :)

  20. Patient, elegant, reserved and lovely .... hmmmm. Elegant? Moi? I think not ... not unless jeans and tee-shirts are elegant! Which of course they might be.

I think you are more together than you think KJ ... actually I think we all are! I love the photo of the boys. Ryan is 5 already? Blimey time flies.

Oh and I forgot to answer about the bees. They take turns, nursery, guard duty, water fetching, nectar fetching, queen tending. All females until later on when the drones hatch. They fly around for a bit ... mate with a Queen and then die leaving the females to carry on with all the work. Bee-keeping is so cool! Big warm hug to you KJ. xx Jos
