It's not one bit difficult: draw an outline of a cat, draw a circle around it, and cut the space between the cat and the circle. Add a candle inside, wait until dark, & light a match.

This humble halloween instruction is dedicated to Robin, who should have carved this very pumpkin if only she had not become so obsessed with making cupcakes at midnight; Marie Segal, who is the #1 teacher in the universe of step-by-step directions; Prudie1 just because she so loves Halloween; and Mr. Ryan and Baby Mr. Drew, with whom this pumpkin has taken residence.

Happy Happy Halloween!

ReplyDeleteWow! I love it. I will see if I can talk my cat-adoring son into making this with me. Happy Halloween, prudie2! Eat lots of candy! xox Pam
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the pumpkin, Pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteI get completely grossed out touching the inner slime. I hate it.
And I don't like Halloween. Go figure! I think I'll turn all my lights out, close the curtains and go upstairs.
Oh wait. I already bought the little beggers some candy! I guess I'll be a nice hostess.
I won't be responsible if Emma takes any nibbles out of ankles and toes though.
BWAAAAAAhahahahahahah!
xo♥
Lovely pumpkin...can you come and do mine? Heh heh! It's Hallowe'en today and still I haven't carved it. Your idea looks great!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Hallowe'en, dear kj!!
That is a wonderful pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! And to Stella and JB too. xoxo
no pumpkins down here! but this is a poem of a carving
ReplyDeleteeveryone, it's silly to say thank you and try it repeatedly, so i will just say thank you and try it collectively.
ReplyDeleteif you do carve away, use a little knife with a pointed edge and carve off the pieces in chunks instead of trying to push out a whole side, for example. this is true esp. around that little windy tail!
ps. you can do a witch just as easily. circle for body, circle for head, hat on head, maybe a broom on one side of her. just as nifty.
♥
What a "GREAT" PUMPKIN! Thank you for the 'dedication" and...the pumpkin carving lesson... (sorry I was so "OBSESSED" with my midnight cupcakes.... but give me some pink icing and I just go CRAZY!

The first pix OMG never knew that a pumpkin could look so beautiful and mysterious. Nice blog!

ReplyDeleteWe didn't get around to carving pumpkins this year so my son is shooting at them with an air cannon he built!
