Thank You: Part 2

It's no secret I've been down and out the last few weeks. I don't know when I'll emerge from my self imposed I-don't-know-how-to-feel-better state, but there have been a few encouraging signs. I am so thankful and grateful to certain special people who have just about carried me to a more hopeful, healthy place:
.
Melissa: Your blog always lightens my load. And your friendship means so much.
.
Val: One day soon we shall smile across the table and join hands in friendship. Thank you so much for believing in me, and for being there in every way.
.
Studio Lolo: There is nothing better than acknowledging a kindred soul and new friend. Besides for your wonderful art, you are a sensitive caring woman and I am grateful we are becoming friends.
.
Mim: My fellow New Englander: how could I not include you?! You were the first person to "buy the book", and your comments are always positive and kind.
.
To each of you, I hereby bestow the Perfect Blend of Friendship Award. Please pass it on however you see fit.

  1. I hate that feeling of knowing that you are "down" but also knowing that you can't snap your fingers and "feel better". Doesn't matter if the mood was caused by something real or imagined - it's a dark place to be.

Good luck climbing out - it sounds like you are beginning to see the light at the top of the deep, dark well

  3. KJ, I'm touched by the gesture. I have to tell you that this new friendship feels easy to me, so "ditto" on the thanks. And I love being a penpal, what fun!

With a new year just around the corner, there's hope for brighter days. And we're not going anywhere, your bloggy friends. We'll be right here when you need us :)

  7. suki, tell me two years ago if i could/would form close friendships on the blogs and i would not have believed it. it's so nice to have a good virtual cry and be comforted by good real wonderful people.

melissa, ah, breakfast and our little drive to the big yellow house. what a lovely thought...

    :)

  8. KJ, I've been a bit out of it lately and I'm sorry to come by and find you sad. I really do believe that we have to have down times and dark times in order to regenerate and be ready for the light. It doesn't mean they are a big barrel of fun, but I firmly believe they are a part of life's natural rhythm. Kahlil Gibran wrote that our sorrows are the crucibles that hollow us out to hold our joy. Ok he said it better, but he's probably used to me butchering his work by now.

    Here's a hug, a very heartfelt hug.

  11. well now - Thanks! Friendship thru the blogs is pretty amazing isn't it? You take care of yourself!

(I'm sort of tracking some of the word verifications - and I think that they are not random. This one today is "penwerc" - doesn't that sound pretty obvious for a writer's blog?)
