Another Mish Mash

I have been buzzing around the last few weeks, quite a bit on weekends with visiting friends. It's full blown Autumn here, but I start with a recycled materials fair at the local middle school. All kinds of funky designs and ideas.

And fallen leaves just waiting to be appreciated.

New shoes: what's better than new shoes? These are JB's, but I have not one, not two, but three new pairs. All set!

And fires in the fire place. I stacked the wood and brought a good supply inside. Another feel good event.

An update on Chase: no more seizure but not the easiest time either. He is a dear, he is stubborn, he is wiped by the strength of the seizure medication. I have to remember that it took more than a year before we could touch Stella without her tensing up. Chase is both aloof and affectionate. I hate seeing him affected by the meds. But there is hope all will improve. And bottom line, there will be mutual love.

My back roads are absofuckinglutely gorgeous this time of year.

And pumpkins...

and this weekend, a concert by Young At Heart. Please click to meet them. The youngest age in this chorus is 72 and some folks are in their 90's. OMG. Watch the video. The audience was speechless. We cried. We laughed. We stood and clapped more than once.

Finally, I don't know why my camera took a photo that looks like this: wow. But maybe it captured the souls within. I wouldn't be surprised.

Wishing you a great week,
with love
kj

  1. Thanks for the introduction to Young at Heart. I couldn't find a link here so went to youtube and found Purple Haze and Schizophrenia. These guys are great!

Fall is beautiful in your neighborhood, to say the least.

    1. Hi rubye jack, I'm glad you checked them out! The link here is their name but I probably should figure out how to make the link font color more obvious!

It's been a glorious fall here. Makes everything look better :-)

  2. So many things happening at the same time.

Three pair of boots? Does a woman need that many? Of course, silly Bear. Even 500 pair might not be enough.

Poor Chase! I really feel sorry for that guy, and for you. If/when the seizures quit or calm down, I'm sure you two will be wonderful friends. But now he sounds like a bit of a zombie dog. Oh, wait; is it safe to use the z-word, without fear of attack? Hmmmm.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

    1. Not boots mr rob-bear: shoes!!!

Chase is not a zombie but he gets knocked out from the pills. He is not knocked out when he is stubborn. Then he is a stationary statue!! We are becoming wonderful friends anyway. Love is love, right?

See you soon at blogland lane! That is exciting!

I came back yesterday and all of a sudden there were leaves on my lawn and the trees have brown and yellow leaves........... Won't be long before they all drop of.
All will be OK with Chase he just needs some time. I know it will be just wonderful with him!
    Enjoy your day!

  8. I wish I could have visited you this season. Your colors are more intense than ours, at least so far.
I can't get enough of Autumn!

I love the hanging CD's. Perfect for Autumn too!

And Chase, that sweet boy. It will all be good. It already is better, right?

And those "young folk!" Hilarious and inspiring.

But I disagree, you CAN be sad while singing :)
    But I love her attitude.

    Thanks for sharing.

    I need new shoes :(

The hills here are all yellow oranges: not a lot of normal reds. It's been stunning

Thanks always for your support with chase. I've been reading and learning and he's had a good couple of days. I'm trying to convince him I'm fun to play with :-)

  13. Much as I hate the approach of winter, I a loving the fall color all around me. Absofuckinglutely gorgeous indeed.

All the greys I've known appear to be a bot aloof. I don't think they are, though, they just have a somewhat worried, somewhat regal bearing.

  14. cs, thank you for saying absofuckinglutely too :-)

Worried and regal: a different kind of dog, and yet still a dog . It's kind of fascinating
