Would/could anybody help me with the last legs of the story of Alex and Lily?
.
I am in need of:
1. EMT knowledge of an auto accident/ambulance scene, including how the Jaws of Life works and who does them, how the EMT's would remove Lily from her crumpled front seat, etc.
.
2. Endorsements for the back book cover and front pages : I can't promise every comment will make it to print, but if you've read the story and could kindly offer a sentence or two about why you might have liked it, I'd be very appreciative. You can leave your comment here, or e-mail me at karenjasper@comcast.net.

The title is official: The Light Stays On
.
I don't believe I would have completed this book, let alone ready to publish it, if it weren't for my blog friends and the incredible support I've received. Thank you.
Here, the jaws of like are operated by the fire department personnel. When they respond to a motor vehicle accident there is always at least a pumper truck and an amublance. I don't really know the workings of it but as an emergency trauma nurse it was always an indication of the severity of injuries.
ReplyDeleteAs far as your story goes I would say it is a tragic love story all around that will keep you thinking about it long after you have put the book down.
The title is brilliant!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the book :-D
ces, this is very sweet of you.
ReplyDeletemiladysa, thank you thank you!
*Great* title!! You might want to talk to local EMT's or emergency responders about the jaws-of-life. I love the research that come with books ... I'll be watching a herd of dairy cows get milked soon to help with Shane and Elizabeth. :)
ReplyDeletemelissa, i love the research too. i've loved everything about this process except my updated crash course in proper punctuation. the quotes and question marks get tricky!
ReplyDelete:)
I agree to talk to the fire personnel - or perhaps there is an instructional video on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteand for the other...
I am a terrible writer and don't know how to express myself in words. Somehow, because everyone was so real...so human...the book touched a deep chord in me. Such real, human, wonderful love between those two.
