I agree with you about the power for friendship through this amazing world of blogging. It makes our lives richer to know so many good, creative people, and kindred souls.
Thank you for your kind friendship!
P.S. I have read your most recent posts, and hope your Mom is improving.

  11. "All I have to do is be me...and you love me."

Whoa! I never feel such love as that from anyone, rather, as I see it, I represent both gifts and disappointments to those who care about me, and, in some cases, the former outweighs the latter, so they stay. In other cases, the disappointments grow too numerous, so they go.

    1. Snow, from what I see on your blog, many of your friends and visitors, myself included, have a deep affection and respect for you. I'll take that as love any day

You know I don't always agree with or understand you, but I don't think in terms of gifts and disappointments. I try to shun dualities because they screw up my thinking. So I will just say thank you most sincerely for all the enjoyment and depth you give me. And, if you weren't 't loved, no way would I or most take the time

    2. "many of your friends and visitors, myself included, have a deep affection and respect for you. I'll take that as love any day"

I would too, but my point was that I never assume people will love me more the more they know about me.

"I try to shun dualities because they screw up my thinking."

I speak literally when I say that don't know what this means. Totally black and white thinking can be rigid, of course, and is often well-avoided, but thoughts and actions aren't morally, ethically, prudently, aesthetically, or in any other way, exactly the same either. That is they point toward one thing while pointing away from another. I think it was Adler who said that, if you want to see who a person is, watch what he does (which is very different from what Christ said about people being their thoughts).

    3. I'm a little hurried, so I think I was vague about why I included the Adler quote. My point was that judgments have to be made, and this implies thinking dyadically or at least in that direction. We simply, as I see us, can't take life with no more judgement than a boulder in a river takes the water that passes over it and the limbs that tumble into it. The most I (and I think anyone) can do is to continue to feel loving and at peace in the face of such judgements.

    4. Snow, I found some info on dualities I wanted to share with you but I wasn't able to copy paste. Maybe I will write a post on this one of these days. I will say this: I think discord comes from taking sides, which occurs from judgements. What if both sides are equal: if harmony comes from both but not either?

      :-)

  13. I feel the same about everyone I've met, as well. Having been offline for so long, I am so glad to be back! Taking a break made me see how much I cared about everyone, as during that time, I would think about someone on the blogs and wonder how they were doing...over and over, that happened. So the links between us are definitely there to stay!

Hope you had a great, loving day!! xx
