Is It True??

I want this not to be true. Help!

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple.

  2. kj,
a quick look at the list at the wikipedia {http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_words_without_rhymes} will either make your day or add to your frustration. Door hinge does seem to rhyme with orange in a squeaky sort of way and oneth does rhyme with month, however little it is used.

Thank you for the kind words on my blog. I'm glad you enjoyed. Hope to see you again.

  4. LOL! This is like Charlotte's favorite let's-stump-mommy conversation of late.

C -- "Mommy, what rhymes with hummingbird?"

    Me -- silence

    later:

C -- "Mommy, what rhymes with humpback whale?"

    Me -- "Uhhh, humpback snail?"

    sigh.
