Well!
.
I need help!
.
I wanted to know the difference between public versus private following of a blog, so I added myself as a private follower on my new private blog. At least I think that's what I did.
.
Whatever I did, the comments I leave and get are now coming to me only as emails. They are nowhere to be found in the land of the blogs.
.
Can anyone help me undo the one step I took and cannot even remember how or where to undo it?
.
I miss my comments! And imagine if I couldn't publicly respond to your wonderful blogs?!
.
HELP!
it's just me, testing to see if this comment shows up....
ReplyDeletesigh....
Here's how bad off I am today: I would have to read that about 10 more times to even understand what you did! LOL!! I am sorry to say I am no help at all. I hope you get it sorted out! xox Pam
ReplyDeletei'm testing...
ReplyDeletei'm testing...
eh! it was published!
ReplyDeletekaren...
ReplyDeletedon't think these two events are related... a few hours ago i answered some friends on my blog... that is, i left a comment on my own blog... but i just recieved it in the mail... and not on the blog... so something should be wrong with the blogger...
when you follow someone privately... think you are not shown among the 'followers' list...
but now my comments here are published...
what is the problem?
:)
karen...
ReplyDeletethink the problem is solved... i had the comments in my mail... i copied them and posted them again... they were published this time!
you have your comments in your mail too... yes?
you have to visit your friends and copy paste the comments there again...
technology is sometimes just a waste of time!!!
:D
love to you
hey again!
ReplyDeletemy new comment was not published...

KJ....comments ARE showing.....so whatever you did, you seem to have undone it.... what a relief!
ReplyDeleteCall me when you have time....
Love,
♥ Robin ♥
hey the problem is still there...
ReplyDeletewhat has happen to all those comments i left here? first they showed up... now they are gone...
seems other people have got this problem... some other friends too are reporting about comments being disappeared...
those comments i left again on my blog disappeared into thin air after a while...
:(
maybe I'm blaming myself when I should be $$@&&!!!@&
ReplyDeleteblogger!!!!
Universe: please self correct
:)
Now I am trying. My comments have been published and then not shown up when I went back in to another blog I write for and follow. It is not you I believe blogger is throwing up all over itself again.
ReplyDeleteBut we have stats, wowowow! I would just love to have a blogger that works.
Stats be damned even if I like them.
HB
ReplyDeleteyour comments are here
at least for now
thank you friends for caring
Xoxo
i was just thinking the same thing, comments are not showing up on my post, but there they are in my email box. i think it's not something you did kj, it might just be blogger.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm glad I could help!!!
ReplyDeleteI've read Blogger rants on other blogs today. I think Blogger is fickle ;P
I haven't got the foggiest.......
ReplyDeleteBut there are a lot of people trying to help here already. Suspect it is just blogger ;( because Lori had the same problem.
Have a nice day!
♥♥♥
>M<
I think people on blogger have been having problems with comments in general today. I think that might be what's causing your comments not showing up properly... Hugs, Silke
ReplyDeleteJust got home and my comment thingy says 10 comments when I really have 15, so something is weird out there in blog land :-).
ReplyDeletexoxo
Can you see me? Can you see me NOW?
ReplyDelete(How did you know it was me?)
Yesterday comments were just being eaten up by Blogger. And then magically appeared on a delay. I think they've fixed that.
ReplyDeleteWhew! What a crazy, maddening day....KJ, we now know it was the "Evil Bogger-Monster" devouring the comments..
ReplyDeleteLet's hope the problem is resolved.....
Love, Love,
♥ Robin ♥
Tsup*!* Blogger turned Cannibal at my place too grrrrr*!*
ReplyDeletepam, ♥ love from me to you. i like that you don't have a clue either.
ReplyDeletehb, i breathed a sigh of relief when i read your comments this morning. thank you dearest friend. i wish i hadn't been working so we could have 'talked' back and forth.
♥
annie, see how i blame myself! and it was $$%#@@**& all along!
wrobin, call coming with pleasure!
marie, AAARRRGH! but it's free. sometimes i wonder how everything would be different if blogger charges even a dollar a month. (sending love) (me, not blogger) :)
lori, ♥
lo, if blogger were a blind date, i might not show up and i most certainly would not buy the drinks!
marianne, btw, i LOVE that you and lori are getting to know one another. two terrific talented women. plus all the rest of us. :)
silke, ♥
annie, yup....
DEBRA KAY! DEBRA KAY! how happy am i to see your long awaited hilarious comment? VERY HAPPY! TSUP!
cs, i have to say i'm surprised and impressed the comments were replaced intact. next time i'm blaming blogger first. that is my lesson of today. xoxo
robin, just another day at the blogger office.... :)
annie, ♥
As I understand it...
ReplyDeletePublic Follow means your avatar appears on the blog page under "Follower". Anyone can see that you "follow" the blog.
Private Follow means your avatar does not show up. Therefore no one sees that you are following the blog.
Ah the others have cottoned on. Blogger wouldn't let comments stick for about 24 hours this week. All the 'private following' means is that you don't show up on the widget so others don't know you're following. Everything seems hunky dory now.
