.
It didn't say what I wanted it to say.
.
It didn't reflect my mood.
.
I didn't like it.
.
So I did what I don't often have the luxury of doing.
.
I deleted, erased, eliminated.
.
I replaced.
.
Today is a busy day, not much time to re-create.
.
But here's my message for today.
.
Instead.
.
And if you didn't see the poem in question
'
Fine!
.
The message will resurface
.
In a way more to my liking.
.
Meanwhile
.
I wish you a fine day,
.
Love
.

What happened to the tree that was in my Reader?
ReplyDeleteI agree, things are not always great, the holidays can be sad, but we do have to keep on and try to be a light in the dark for others. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks KJ for taking the bold step to be a comfort to those struggling. Love is the greatest hope there is!

ReplyDeleteIt is true that many people actually dread the holiday season as they do not feel that cheer, and for some it seems like forced cheer trying to be shoved down their throats. To them I say it's just one day...if you don't want to play, go away and do something that makes you feel better...
ReplyDeleteIt will soon be over.
cs, a girl can change her mind! i thought i'd wait until the ornaments made it onto the tree too. :)
ReplyDeleteannie, yup.
tamikea, how very very true!
sonia, aw, hugs to you too, heart sister.
lynn, ah, but it's often more than one day, don't you think? it's a whole season! but your advice is good. i'm enjoying the holidays this year and i'm so appreciative that is the case! xoxo
Yes Christmas is not always a happy time... but no time is always one thing.
ReplyDeleteLife is kinda beautiful like that and fortunately while one is suffering another is not and that's how we're able to help each other.
love to you during this magical time of year.
I think the magic is in the potential for change.
best wishes
Ribbon xoxoxo
PS... and a lovely poem too :)
ribbon, you are wise and kind. i like you so much!
ReplyDeleteconfused?
ReplyDeletei apologize. i replaced a post with a post. the comments stayed but the message changed.
so secret agent woman: the tree is back.
:)
yr tree is very cheerful and pretty.and I like yr balls. Hey, I'm feeling strapped verbally myself as I can't complain on my blog about somehting I'd like to complain about (I think of my blog as a journal I share w/others) due to it involves my brother who asked me not to write about him as all his girlfriends get upset or something. Although it's probably only about me but I'd have to refer to the bro so oh well. Cheers.
ReplyDeletei personally hate this time of year, did you know this about me? i hate the overspending, the overcheerfulnees, the going to family one wouldn't normally even talk to, then the january crash..hate it all with a passion, stay positive for those few around me who do love it. grrr bah humbug. love ya kj, for who you are and what you say (or do not say). my motto for today' this too shall pass'.
ReplyDeleteI love your warm, old-timey photos, kj, especially the amazing jewel colours of the Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas and New Year's celebrations are often difficult for me and my family, as we lost one of our own during this time. My daughter passed away on December 30 eleven years ago. It is forever a time of remembrance and quite often tears.
But Christmas was my daughter's favourite holiday. For her, it was always the happiest time. So, for her, I try and make it so.
i missed the poem kj, but i'm glad you took it down if that's what you felt like doing.
ReplyDeletei hope you have a lovely day too, off to work now...
xo lori
For me, this post is about reflections.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the poem,,but I do see the beautiful colors from the tree reflected in your fireplace.
If we all can reflect just a little light, it will be quite enough,,,,right?
Of course now I'll go mad wondering if I read the poem or not. Just kidding-you do what you need to do girl.
ReplyDeleteHaha one of the advantages of being late I guess. . I missed the poem! You're a light in the dark hun. No worries.
ReplyDeleteYou have every right :-). Go forth and create. Love you.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Love you darling friend.

aw suki, that is tough. i limit what i say too sometimes because of certain people who may read my blog. you could always email certain followers if you want to share. you know i'd be happy to be among them...xo
ReplyDeletejoss, many people feel as you do, and with good reason. myself, i've always loved christmas. last year was so difficult for me so this year feels like a new relief, it seems. i won't be surprised if maggie brings you a bit of a different perspective in how you share the season--you two lovebirds!
marion, my heart aches for you. i can't ever say i understand how it feels, but you know part of me does. losing a child, your precious daughter, i know that spot will never be filled. but i love your desire to cherish the holiday she loved. i have no doubt that she appreciates that. marion, i cannot tell you how pleased i am to have secured your friendship. thank you. xoxo
lori, tsup!
babs, i didn't notice the wonderful reflections on the fireplace until you pointed them out--the eye of an artist. alittle light from each of us: yes, i think it is enough too. xo
debra kay, the poem was too trite. i just couldn't sit with it right.
ReplyDeleteaw baino, (blush) i love you. :)
annie, love you too. i'll go forth and create as long as you do too! i wish you the best holiday. i hope some magic sneaks up behind you. xoxo
renee, love you too dearest moon sister. hahaha, i've probably told you i love you more than i've told jb in the last five years (okay maybe exaggerating) xoxo
Your tree is sooooo beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love it :)
ho ho ho xoxo
