Another Mish Mash: Before & After

Before the wall came down..

and after...

Before a commercial athlete

 after (now) a family member.

chase, age 6, newly adopted

Before too long this is good to know

because it makes after a whole lot easier

Before JB makes these wristlets,
she is not as confident as she is after,
when it's so obvious how fabulous they are...

Before I get too down for any reason

I remember I have this in my life

and shortly after I stop lamenting...

Before a five year old little girl and I sat here,

under the stairwell of her school,

because bad things happened to her.

Now, after all that, she has been adopted and has a family...

and finally:

Before, a favorite picture of my soon to be

97 year old Mother

but she says she looks strange

so after, the one she likes better....

Wishing you all a very good week,
love
kj

    1. Gosh Brian, your grandmother is younger than my mother?! See, I forget about age sometimes on the blogs. So I am older than you :-)

  4. The kitchen looks great. And I love that saying about letting one person out of seven billion ruin your day.

  5. love the shot of your dear mama having herself a good old laugh - partly what keeps us alive and healthy in my opinion (just like what those old reader's digest columns said haha!)

lovelove the pictures of chase (such a sweet punim!!) and jb's wristlets!!! and finally, your kitchen is to die for - any dish that comes out of that place must be filled with love.

    1. Amanda, I have to say I love my kitchen! It is not modern or fancy but it is a place and space I love to be in. Thanks for your kind words. Always.

  6. kj,
This is a lovely post, and just helped me smile. Thanks!
I like both photos of your Mom, but must say I like the first very much, with her wonderful smile.
Chase - well it makes me so happy to see him comfortable, and obviously happy.

    1. Brenda, I like that photo of my mom too. It is how I will always want to remember her.

Chase is 'becoming'. He is aloof in many ways but we plan to charm him into submission :-)

    1. Melissa, the literacy lounge was the tucked in creation of a wise librarian. Zebra stripes in a poor school. How cool!

  8. What a great post. And I love both photos of your Mom but somehow the first one conveys her joy so I really like that one!
And I love that poster reminding us not to let that one person get us down, so easy to say, so hard to remember! xx
