Oh mighty vacation! Let me fall on my knees and float to the top of the heated pool. Let me surrender to the holy scorch of the benevolent sun above. Let me do penance through the quarter slot machines. And let me chill. Please just let me chill!

ReplyDeleteOh, I do miss the beach, always. But, in my most non-beaching moments, it always helps to close my eyes and know its there. Sometimes I can recall individual fish, or a funny blue crab in the sea grass and for a moment the sound of traffic becomes the sound of the surf.
