When kj is sad, she gets sick and thinks about money and gardens.
..........
When JB is sad, she pretends she isn't and sleeps for two days.
...........
When Pat is sad, she stays in the house and tries so hard to get better that she gets exhausted.
..........
When I am sad, I whine and cry. I am the smartest about this.
..........
Sincerely,
Emily Rabbit
Hah! I can relate well to each of the different reactions to being sad, but I wonder which one works the best? Maybe drawing rabbits is the answer:> Have a wonderful and happy day!
ReplyDeleteThere is no harm in expressing your feelings. It is good for you, therapeutically.
ReplyDeleteWow, it is a pleasure to see Emily Rabbit. She is drawn elegantly and artistically. Like Carla, I have reacted in all four ways mentioned. I don't know which one is the best either, I think it depends on the reason for sadness. Perhaps first be like Emily Rabbit, then be like Pat and JB then KJ. I do not like to get sick though.
ReplyDeleteEmily and the "hare" dryer ... hee hee ... :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool post -- Emily, welcome to blog land. I, when sad, isolate and feel like the sky is falling.
ha! this is toooo cute! you made me laugh out loud. my husband wants to know what was so funny. ;)
ReplyDeleteEmily's back!
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm sad, I immerse myself in my children and we watch cartoons.
That's great, Kj.
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm sad I need to be left alone with my music and a bottle of wine.
I am experiencing seasonal mood disorder today because it is freezing cold outside and the sky is a deep, Dorian Grey! Blecch!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to dealing with any emotional issues I prefer a stiff upper lip and all that say wot!
I close my eyes, think of England and hope to hell that somebody (anybody) has noticed how sad I am..
nothing, nada, zippo, bupkis..
OK plan B..
mope around like Eeyore...
whatever Dad...
Next, start some Tantric Fridge Raiding and watch a Comedy..(sigh).
Last resort, exagerate the emotional trauma one billion times and 'fish' for some sympathy in the Blogosphere.
Emily, when krizmic is sad, she listens to music and calls a friend who will make her laugh.
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time, she'll try drawing Emily Rabbit!
When I am sad, I try to simply accept it and I tell myself : it will pass.
ReplyDeleteDo you like thinking about money and gardens ? I mean, are you worrying then or are you spinning pleasant thoughts ? does it make the sadness go away ?
Ms. Emily Rabbit,
ReplyDeleteLast night I was very sad so I cried my heart out. Today my eyes were bloodshot. I went to the dentist and got my teeth cleaned. I went to work with a clean mouth and forgot that I cried last night. I ate five Hugs, sucked on two Dum Dums and ate a peach cobbler.
Depends on the sadness, but all those things can work for me.
ReplyDeleteAmusing and true! When I'm sad I cry and try to think of the last time I cried. I think I cry from sadness about three times a year now. It used to be a lot more than that.
ReplyDeleteKJ, vous ĂȘtes une femme merveilleuse sage. Je devrais ĂȘtre votre meilleur ami, pas Ces !
ReplyDeletewaily waily waily
ReplyDeleteworks for me ;o)
Comment from Emily Rabbit:
ReplyDeleteJust because I wrote about being sad, that did not mean that I wanted to hear what anyone does when they are sad. i would have preferred if everyone said nice things about me.
kj asked me to be a guest blogger during Easter but if I am, everyone has to be very nice to me.
Oh, I'm sorry Ms. Rabbit! I'm delighted that you're the guest blogger. You have a wonderful knack for understanding how people (and rabbits) respond to their emotions. You also draw fun cartoons. And... you're really cute! Do you know the Easter Bunny? Can you ask her why she doesn't come to my house anymore? I may be ancient, but I still love chocolate eggs and jellybeans. Okay..gotta hop:>
