What Happened in 2013?

  1. i am not beyond stealing a good idea. my friendthe walking man has asked his readers to list the highlights of their year (aka "shit happens")  what is your condensed version? Here is mine, except I would add I am actually happy more than sometimes.

    1. Wieneke, we visited chase last week. He has had all his teeth removed (all) and this mouth has healed well. His foster family feels he is doing well. He was not overly familiar or affectionate to us but I do think he knew me. It really was sad, knowing we have given him up. He is available for adoption . We hope he stays with his foster family. They have 3 other greyhounds and they are wonderful people. It is good chase is with other dogs

  3. My first granddaughter turned 14 two days ago--I slept through it.
Nobody got shot in Detroit in one 10 day period in November, first time in 30 years.
I did not submit any witing at all to any where in 2013--I slept through it.
I got one Christmas gift from a friend i haven't seen in 3 years--an Oscar the Grouch coffee cup. Damn she knows me so well.

    1. No family gifts? :-(

Detroit's mess is only partially your mess. Thankfully. Wake up a bit, mark? You might be surprised

Ps and only an awake person could write your poetry. You can't kid me :-)

  6. That's a lot. But, you know what I found out when I had lunch with my co-workers on Monday? We all have these lists. And they are all full of really shitty things and really great things. I really thought that I could beat anyone's list for 2013 and was taken aback when I heard the round table discussion. We all have these lists...
