One Morning

i have just spent four days with my family in Provincetown. It was great. In a two bedroom not spacious space, four adults and three little boys ages 1, 3, 5 walked and bobbed in the ocean, swam in the pool, shopped, ate, played games, found shells and crabs and this morning snails, strolled and chased.

This is one morning starring JB, Drew age 3, me, and the bay.

We did things together, we split up, we ate chocolate and ice cream and bought dishes and earrings. We went to the beach and to the pool and met up for a street side lunch. JB and I got to first greet and then this morning wave goodbye to the ferry that carried our family from Provincetown to Boston. We had a good good time and i am happy happy about that.

  8. Gosh, we sure have different looking coasts. Some of the Oregon coast is flat and sandy, but most of it is mountainous with sharp basalt "beaches" instead of sand. There are also sneaker waves that are notorious for washing people out to sea. It's a very austere environment, the more so because since it's often cool and windy. In winter, one hundred mile an hour winds sometimes hit the headlands. And then there are the annual mudslides that bury entire sections of the coast road. I tell you, it always seems to me a wild and wooly place to visit except when it's the opposite. Pretty days on the Oregon coast are absolutely heavenly.

  9. Snow, the coast of Maine is rugged as you describe. These shots from provincetown on cape cod are of an inlet bay at low tide.

I will visit Oregon one day. I'm sure of it
