Just in Case...

attibution unknown

I'm here again, until the old year falls away.

Posting encouragement today.
I have a feeling something here
may tap your shoulder or catch your ear.
It's not the easiest time of year
for holding on to what is dear.
But here we are in early December
Ready to forget & ready to remember!
Love kj

Well? love again, kj

  1. The second quote. Praise be to "Unknown"! It was exaclty what I needed today. Thank you KJ. The dancing giraffs always do me a world of good too :)

  2. I had to go through these twice. Awesome collection, kj. And just what I needed right now. I chose the Nietzsche one to use on my photo blog, where I marry my photos with a quote, an observation or lyric (directly linking to a video) ... my own little project in art, humour, observation and philosophy.

  3. KJ,
I LOVE LOVE all of the quotes! Thank you so much for showing all these on here!

  4. I have thoroughly enjoyed all these words of wisdom written here in this thought provoking post kj.

You truly are one of the sweetest, lovable bloggers here in our magical land.

I needed to read these words today as I tumble with some of my little demons.
    Off to paint now.

love to you during this fascinating time of year.

    x Robyn

  5. annie, my pleasure, you are most welcome. i feel the same about those dancing giraffes, the joy inside us is like that, right? :^)

yay andrea, i have to come look at your photo blog. ♥

kay, you are welcome and most welcome here. thanks for stopping by. xo

aw jeez, robyn, thank you so much for such a compliment. i will say the same about you. and yes, our land is magical. i love that image and it is so apt. love to you, my friend. i'm so glad you're back. shoo demons! (yours and mine) xoxo

  6. You are a gift and your words (borrowed and your own) are icing on the cake! I am looking forward to your daily-ish postings and hope to see more from Carla Sonheim's book (it's one of my favorites)!

p.s. I love your dancing giraffes! (I just drew a giraffe tonight!)

  7. all wonderful, but I especially like 'when it's dark enough you can see the stars". wonderul

  8. Well, I LOVE all these comments, but for some reason the Barbara Bloom really tickles me.

I love it that you gifted us with all these golden words. Now I can harvest what I love and strew the seeds along the pathway. THANK YOU!

You inspire me to bake, laugh, love, much...and I will soon.

    Sending love,

  9. "(source unknown but kj says it all the time)"

Then I know it just has to be good! Thanks for all the encouraging quotations, dear KJ.

  10. This is a super collection of Just In Case quotes...I especially like Dr. Seuss. Troubles are going to have trouble with me today! haha xx

  11. Kj, These quotes are all wonderful and TRUE! Words to live by. xoxo

  12. 'let peace begin with me'.

thank you for posting all these kj, it's hard to choose a favorite. quotes are a lot like poems, i love so many.
    xxoo love lori

  13. heartening quotes. thank you. i esp love the barbara bloom.

  14. So funny, I have been writing precisely about this. There is a sense of "we are too PC if we are thankful", or we try to extricate ourselves out of the briar patch by ourselves without resentment and bitterness because we didn't walk into it of our own free will, and so forth. We are "not sincere" or "real".

I don't know how PC it is to bake scones but that is what I have been doing today while the cold and the rain are outside, beating at my door. I thought of you, JB and Robin coming over for a cup of tea by the fire and somehow the wind and the rain and the cold are no longer important at all.

    Hugs from here.
