Animal Wednesday: Emily in the Snow

.
Well! Hello! It’s me, Emily! What am I going to write about today? By now you should know how to cry deep deep from your stomach, throw a temper tantrum in public places and on the kitchen floor, what to do if you get arrested (cry and whine), when and why to throw frozen peas or in very serious circumstances Brussels sprouts, how to enjoy life through jellybeans, and how to tell someone who is not nice to get lost. I think I have demonstrated all of these things very well and I hope you are following them. If you aren't it's not my fault if you don't listen but you should because you will be happier and you will never feel guilty about anything and you have more fun.
.
,
As you know kj pays me $ 10 to write this column every week and she complains about it every time but I just ignore her and take the money because I mostly spend it on jellybeans and now I am also into chocolate snowballs, do you know what those are? They are pink big round circles with coconut on them and chocolate inside and inside of the chocolate there is a creamy filling that you can lick instead of eat. I recommend them especially on days when you need something that will make you feel nine years old.
.
.
I thought today I would show you a picture of me in the snow. If you can’t see me it’s not my fault because I am white and the snow is white too.
.
.
I am waving to you with a big smile on my face because I just sold five pounds of multi colored rabbit pellets to two twelve year old girls who are going to give them out at their birthday party. I am starting to wonder just a little bit if the multi colored rabbit pellets will upset their stomachs because you know I don’t want to get arrested again even though it was not my fault last time but do you think rabbit pellets in general will make someone sick? I sprinkled sugar on them before I colored them so they would not only look good but taste good and the girls gave me $ 25 because I told them it was $ 5 a pound which, really, I think is a bargain.
.
.
Do you think I will get in trouble? And even if I do, don’t you think it’s worth $ 25 except if they get sick I will feel bad but I think they would get sick only if they ate too many at a time, which they might but would that be my fault?
.
.
And besides I could hide in the snow and they wouldn't see me, right?
.
.Sincerely,
.
Emily V.V. Rabbit

  1. Hi Emily, thanks for posting your beautiful photo, you are quite striking! I love chocolate snowballs too, and now that it's getting closer to Easter one of my other favorite chocolates is out too - Cadbury mini eggs - oh, I could eat a whole bag! You sure are one busy bunny, good luck with the rabbit pellet business!

  5. Dear Emily,

you are not as well hidden as you may think. I know I see your ears sticking up in the lower left corner of the photo! Go look, I'll wait.

Seeee? I won't point it out to anyone else though.

I don't like jellybeans and I don't like cadbury eggs and I don't even like candy at all. Do you think there's soemthing wrong with me?
I did just have a delicious Weight Watcher's ice cream sandwich though. Yum!

I think KJ's going to try to come see me on Saturday. Are you coming? I hope so!

I have to go make some art now because I didn't get much done today. I'm working on a painting for your best friend Marianne ;)

    Later funny bunny!

  6. Dear Emily,

I was sure I saw you sitting under that bush in the middle of the photo. As for jelly beans, I only like the cherry ones. I know, it isn't very big minded of me.

    Your friend,
    Pam

  7. Hi Emily! You sure are a bright one! It's hard to see you in all the snow...

Will you tell KJ that I loved her comment on my blog today? Some day I must visit your Florence!!

We have family visiting, so I don't get to visit as often as I'd like... but I hope you are all doing alright!!

    Love, Silke

  8. Emily, I see you, plain as day :-).
Then again I used to have an invisable rabbit called charlie and I was the only one who could see him, I was only six at the time. Good luck with selling those rabbit pellets, perhaps you should warn people about eating too many.

  10. Emily-if you were in the snow I might like it. I am going on vacation next week and it's only supposed to snow TWICE more till then. All this snow makes it very hard to keep a positive outlook.

I can't eat those snowball things. I'm not sure what that pink stuff IS, but it scares me.

  11. I don't know, no one seems concerned that you sold RabbitPellets but I am! I think you ought to call them and give back the money - do a good deed em!!

  12. Ciao Emily, it's nice to meet you. Next time you decide to sell rabbit pellets $5 a pound, call me and I can chip in my son's styrofoam peanuts he's been saving. He's painted them every color, making them look like delicious jellybeans. You and I could make a fortune!

Stay out of the snow, you silly wabbit.

  14. you know perhaps you can burn those rabbit pellets in a pellet stove. You would quickly become a millionaire!!

  15. Emily, I'm not sure about the rabbit pellets...it might give those girls diarrhea, if you know what that is, because of all the roughage in those pellets. If they haven't come back and accused you of making them sit on the toilet forever, it's probably all right...But I just want to tell you my daughter, when she was six, ate a whole bunch of rabbit pellets, and she still remembers the result...

I think those chocolate snowballs sound amazing...I think I can see one in your photo, right next to where you are! And it sure is a happy grin on your face...you made a lot of money after all with those pellets.

I hope you save some of your money...how will you ever come to see me if you don't save your money?

  17. Miss Emily,

I tried a temper tantrum once (I just had frozen Brussel Sprouts) and then had to pick up all those gooey leaves after they melted. That just made me madder, so I had to stomp my feet and hold my breath. But that made my throat tickle and my eyes water, so I coughed and then sneezed.

I think it's important to get the mad out. So I think I'll make sure I have frozen peas too.

And some of those pink chocolatey thingies too.

The things you can learn from a rabbit.

    xoxo

  19. Emily, my brother gave me some of your relatives droppings one time and thold me that they would make me smart if I ate them. I did not, and he got scolded. I don't think that, with all the fuss you went to, $25 is very much ...
I watched television last night and say with my own eyes- a chocolate bunny making love with a jar of peanut butter! Wasn't even censored! I don't get it- Jars of peanut butter are not even huggable...I like your hiding place in plain sight- good trick!
