New Year's Light

.
.
The theme for this post is very loose. It's about one of my favorite words: light.

It's the first word Jessica said, at seven months, pointing up from the back seat of the car.

Into the Light.

Lighten Up.

StarLight.

Bud Light.

.

.

It's New Year's Eve Day in Northampton...

.

.
...Into the Afternoon...

.

.

.
...And through the lights of the #9 Walkway...

..

.

...Starting with Drinks
.
and ending with Chocolate Pudding Cake
.
And Everything in Between...

.

.

...Good Friends and Laughs Well Past Midnight...

.

....(One of the good friends being Stella)...

.

...And out into the Night...
.

.

...Where the Colors of the World will Shine just for You...

.
Shine Over and Over sometimes,

Until You Finally Look Up

and Say, 'Thanks."

.

Love
kj

    renee, thank you moon sister.

soulbrush, here's an honest admission, i hope you may find it helpful: i do like the holidays but last year was horrible and this year i decided to really TRY, not to be frenetic or put demands on myself, but to let myself spend time with people i sought out, to let myself be generous with others, to enjoy good company and good and my own hand at baking and creating. i gave myself time without pressure. and soul, it really helped me. i had a very nice christmas. my heart is still sad and sometimes lost, but i did it! i'm kind proud of myself...♥

caroline, welcome back! i hope your holidays were all you hoped for. how nice to know you are back because i look forward to 2010 with you too. ♥

simple made me nod my head yes yes (and it made me hungry).
