Animal Wednesday: Emily Rabbit Takes Blogland Lane by Storm

HAHAHA! Hello everyone, it's me Emily. I have had a very good week because first of all I whined and cried and fell on the floor and kicked my feet because everyone was talking about Blogland Lane and nobody mentioned me, but then Sonia drew a picture of me that is very cute and you can see it on kj's blog on the side and can you tell I am a lot of fun because to me it looks that way and most of the time I am, except when I don't get enough attention.
.
Also this week it looks like I am going to get all the attention and jelly beans I deserve for as long as I want as long as I don't have to share the attention or jellies with anyone else except myself and maybe every once in a while my best friend Marianne--all this because a rabbit Bimbimbimbimbie knows named Harry Hare gave me a special box that should make me happy and quiet about my jelly beans for a long time, but of course that won't happen because why should I be quiet especially because it is really not fun to be quiet and then you cannot cry deep from your stomach and you might even get ignored, which can hurt your feelings.
.
Anyway, here is the poem that my new friend Bimbimbimbimbie wrote and if anybody wants to buy it let me know because I would make a copy and sell it to you but it might be too expensive so don't be surprised. I am going to give Bimbimbimbimbie at least ten cents from the price so she doesn't get mad that I sold her poem and spent the money on chocolate pretzels instead of jelly beans, which I would since I might have all the jelly beans I want from now on. I say 'might' because I really don't know Mr. Harry Hare and I need to make sure he really has the magic to back him up.
.
Now that I've shown you Bimbimbimbie's poem (available for sale, don't forget in case kj doesn't pay me again this week), now I will show you where my mother and I live since every body's showing off their houses but this is not on Blogland Lane. My house is the third one from the left and my Uncle Alexander lives in the middle one with his wife Roweena Rabbit and their 37 little rabbits, none of whom are as smart as me and even my mother that is true.

This next picture is where we used to live before we moved to a better place. The problem that made us move what that you had to share the space with squirrels and mice and ants and even chipmunks sometimes and my mother was always upset because especially the mice made a mess with their little pellets all over the place and the squirrels and chipmunks didn't really like each other very much and you could tell because they kept having tree parties but they didn't invite one another. My mother thought that was unnecessary and she wanted them to get along but they didn't want to no matter what my mother said, even if she tried to be nice, which she did except for the one time she heard them fighting while she was trying to sleep and she got so mad she threw an acorn right at them. Afterwards she was glad she missed and hit a catepillar instead, who i think ended up losing a leg but it was not a problem.
.
So anyway, I have to come up with some reason to tell my mother why I will be moving to Blogland Lane. I have some friends there who will let me live with them and raid their gardens if kj won't cover for me with my mother, but I hope she will so I can come and maybe even knock on someone's door and pretend I am Emily Sparrow, wouldn't that be funny! Because everyone knows a sparrow can't knock on anybody's door.
.
Maybe I will have my own house on Blogland Lane. I'm still thinking about it. My address would be # V. V. Blogland Lane. I can use letters instead of numbers if I want to just because, right?
.
Anyway, a lot of new people visited kj's blog last week and she is getting alot of credit for starting Blogland Lane which is ridiculous because first of all it was somebody else's idea a long time ago and second of all why should kj get credit when all the fun is coming from everyone, not just from her? And besides, what is the most important is that maybe some new people will visit me and they will be interested in learning how to cry deep from their stomach and then maybe I could teach them and they would like me and maybe pay me.
.
I could also teach them to whine better.
.
Sincerely yours,
Emily Rabbit

and mr. harry hare, are you nice? it is not nice to squeal on someone, even if they have a certain pearl necklace.

and what do you know about hobbits, mr. smartypants, ah, i mean, mr. harry hare?

  4. Miss Em, Harry Hare does not squeal.

In fact, I've just been unplugging Bim's computer - she's got no idea of what you're up to. I've only been gone a little while and look what you are asking for now!!!!!!!!!!

Well Ms Scammer I'd say you know a lot more about hobbits than I do ... obviously living that close to them some of their crafty ways have rubbed off on you.

    Harry Hare

PS I think you look very nice in Sonia's drawing ... you don't right now though, you've been scoffing too many of those black jb's your lips are all black hehehehe

I love your little hillside houses and think that one of them at VV Blogland lane would be just wonderful. Ms Em could visit you, and she can fit thru any door seeing as how she is an elastic type person. In fact..perhaps I'd better get her a house also...what a good idea....
Bye emily - BE GOOD to KJ

  8. Emily, I like your place almost as much as mine. Looks like a Hobbit Hole, it does! (I hope you like Hobbits!) I'll keep a jar of jellybeans at my house for you---the good kind, not those cheap ones. (You don't eat dragonflies, do you???) xoxoxo

  10. Emily, PLEASE don't tell Oliver you have your own house on Blogland Lane. He'd want one too, and then I'd have to be FAIR and I have too many animals.....but I built a big house so they could each have a room if they wanted-which they don't because they are always together.

  11. kj, this is so beautiful! The voice is ingenuous just like a child's. Emily, I would like to sign up for crying-hard-from-my-stomach lessons. When do we start?! Karen, thanks for visiting me at 1710! In case you don't get back by shortly, here is a copy of my comment there to you: Hi Karen! Oh, it is so lovely! I want to carry it over into my real life! The idea of having a "room with a view" for just the arts and to share it with like-minded friends--so beautiful! (Did you scroll down to see my house and living room overlooking the beach?) Owen at Magic Lantern made a link to your blog, and I think he was going to make links for all the residents, but it wasn't working? Do we have a list of our neighbors? LOVE xxox

  12. Emily I hope you live near me.

kj thank you for sending me such a nice postcard. I love things in the mail.

As far as publishing I have no interest at all. My blog is for my children and that is why I write it.

Having you as a friend out of the blog is a total bonus.

    Love Renee xoxo

  14. Dear Emily R... do you know what, I'd like you to help me work on laughing from deep in my belly, I've done enough crying in my time, now it's time for laughing !

And I'll tell you a secret, there's a hidden magic bushel of carrot flavored jelly beans (those are the best by far) in a hollow tree in the woods at 524 Blogland... so if you scamper over you can go looking for it...

  16. Emily, dear, if you would like to share a place with me, I would like to share a place with you, and I am good at digging holes. Sometimes, I dig holes just to see what's down there.
