Not Bad...

I don't claim to be an experienced gardener, but what I lack in knowledge I try to make up for in effort and enthusiasm. And it should be said that sometimes a photo somehow captures the best of something that is actually less than it appears. That is probably true in this case, but this was a shot of my front yard last summer. And I think it's pretty neat: neat enough to motivate me all over again this year....

  1. Beautiful garden! So nicely manicured. I used to call my yard the bootcamp of plants. I would shove a plant in the dirt, and if it could survive my neglect and rough handling, it deserved to stay.

  2. Gooood morning, KJ! I walked with you in the neighbourhood and we ended in your garden. A very nice and neat place to be. What a wonderful and VERY EARLY Digitalis you have there. Are American Digitalis always that early? In my garden they bloom in the end of May.

OT: The T-shirts are a present for the twin granddaughters of my sister. They live at the other end of the country so I ordered on line two printed shirts. The two girls are nearly 3 years old and although twins, their character and looks are very different. So therefore 100% Nina and 100% Silje. They liked it very much :-)

wieneke, good morning to you too! this shot was taken last summer, not in the spring. thank you for taking this walk with me. what better place to stop than in the garden? ah, tee shirts for your sister's twin granddaughters. the translation didn't do that one justice, and i wanted to understand. so thanks for explaining this (ps think apple pie) xo

  4. i thin it's lovely, i just plant lots of evergreen shrubs, and then they just keep on growing, staying green all year round, i am therefore a lazy gardener!

  11. Very pretty Kj! I love the combinations~very harmonious. It's amazing to me that some beautiful plants like your foxglove can be so deadly if ingested. Although all of our medicines are botanicals, so I guess it's not so odd.
You've been my only visit thus far. I have to do my "IF" now and visit the rest of my pals!

The award looks good there. It suits you ;)
I'm still in stitches about your JC!! comment last night :D
