Mystery Angels--Part 2

I've succeeded as a Mystery Angel but all I can say is this: a wonderful woman with a vibrant life is looking down from heaven grinning as wide as the Atlantic Ocean, watching her daughter being loved, pampered and teased straight into a great couple of weeks before she heads off to her first year of college.

Pieterbie and I are both reporting that performing secret acts of kindness pay a HUGE dividend. It just feels GREAT.

Please try it. How about from now until this Friday you just DO IT: find a way to be a Mystery Angel.

Don't forget: I will reward you with a prize. I will, really.

  1. How could it be a mystery if you tell people about it?

  2. ces, first do it, then tell me, and then i'll tell you how it can still be a mystery.

anon, you are way too smart to get caught. do it too, anon, so i can write a poem for you, ok?

  5. I do good/great deeds everyday. There's nothing special in them. If you're good, you are good. No big deal! Ordinary people!!! Phew!

  6. I am sure Emily Rabbit does a good deed everyday! Rabbits are naturally good.

  7. I need to catch up on your blog, but this is a GREAT idea. I'll spend the 4th thinking of what I can do and for whom...

  8. I agree with Isabella Wellesley, there is no time for a 'secret' good deed. Most don't notice normal good deeds anyway! You could still write a poem for me KJ ... that could be another good deed for you! Hhehhehheeee ...

  9. just a minute anon and isabella! you are both being unruly.

if you can dress up on halloween or at a party, surely you can don the role of mystery angel for an hour or whatever. you can be nice all other times, which by the way is not believable for either of you, but this one time you are supposed to do something secret.

please don't make me report you to the "higher" authorities.

come on, you can do it!

    isabella
    i would tell ya,

    anon anon
    let's sing this song,

    just practicing.

  11. I don't dress up for Halloween. That's the time I don't wear anything at all - really scary!!! HAHAHAHHA!!!!

Okay here's a good deed. I give Snowflake a bath every week. She never says thank you.

P.S. Ces got busted a while ago :-)

  12. isabella, did boiling water have anything to do with why ces got busted?

  13. Isabella wears her Birthday suit on Halloween and it's MY birthday! All this secrecy about being nice just isn't honest! I clean Jack's cage and castle twice a day each and never get a thankyou. Isabella Wellesley and I ARE the higher authorities ...

  14. I love my bath. I love it when Isabella Wellesley gives me a bath so Ces can put me on her lap and let me rest on her chest, Hmn...

  15. Anon, you lie. Isabella Wellesley is my friend and I will not let her go around the blogs NAKED. It is not your birthday today. You even had to google why the Americans are stir-crazy today. If it was your birthday, you would not need to google anything. You would have just claimed today as your day. You need to learn tricks of the trade from me, unless you have a friend like KJ who will rat on you to some jealous bird! :-)

  16. I don't ask Anon to clean my cage, so why should I thank her? It's very nice though, comfy and not stinky. The flies also don't steal my food.

  17. Ces, my birthday is on Halloween ... what other day are you talking about? hhehhehheeee

  18. I want to celebrate Anon's birthday today. I want to fly to Australia lke a bird - NAKED!!!

  19. Anon, really? Don't blame me for misunderstanding. English is just my fourth language.

  20. HAHAHHAHHAAA SEE Isabella is excited about my birthday being on halloween! She is just wanting to celebrate a little early :)

  21. Are we being the Mysterious Angels you were talking about KJ?

  22. Nyuk nyuk, I bit Isabella Wellesley's arm, she misspelled too many. Nyuk nyuk.

  23. ohmygod. my blog has been taken over by three wild women, several birds, and a rabbit.

all because i tried to encourage something nice.

and by the way, to whom it may concern: changing cages and giving baths does NOT qualify for mystery angel status.

no poems until things change around here....

  24. well! hmpff! you should only be nice if it gets you jelly beans or money. unless something very bad happens and you have to be nice to make it better fast.

    that is my opinion.

    sincerely,

    emily rabbit

  25. Emily Rabbit, you'll never get anything with that kind of rabbittitude

  26. I think it IS a mystery why Isabella and Anon are angels!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I don't need to do a good deed
So someone can write a poem for me
If she says she did what she did
So the other she could write a poem or three
    It's not a mystery anymore
If you tattle and keep score
Anon and Isabella are naturally angels
Anon flies and Isabella jumps off building ledges without breaking her ankles
If you think angels and ankles don't rhyme,
    Just come to my state.
Here you will find accents sublime and slimed
    So don't be late.

  28. ohsweetjesus isabella. you have vast poetic talent. i am very surprised.

ps word verification is packlsd. are you into something illicit, isabella?

  29. I fully agree with KJ: the dividend is super.
So KJ: you don't have to award me the prize, my reward was a smiling face of someone who felt welcomed.
And I'm sure the reaction would have been different had she known who had been behind the deed.
I'm going to do this more often.
I didn't get to reward the cleaning girl as she was rotated to another floor. But I'll catch her when she ends up on my floor again.
